In 2018, a tennis centre was constructed in the close proximity to the indoor swim centre. In the first phase of its development, seven clay tennis courts were built in total, and the main one was used for the semifinals match of the Davis Cup (September 2018, Croatia – US 3:2), which attracted 20,000 spectators in three days.

During the second phase of development three additional hard courts were built. The tennis centre, with a total of 10 courts, illumination, quality of service, and sheer size aims to be a long-term destination of choice for many tennis players in different categories of competition and age, ranging from recreationists to professionals, who can utilise the tennis complex for all their training, competitive preparations, tournaments and the like. The centre is even more lucrative when considering Zadar’s features as an attractive destination with an excellent geographical position in the middle of the Croatian Adriatic coast, with good air, sea, and road connections and a pleasant microclimate.

When it comes to competitions, the tennis complex can host professional tournaments on its clay courts, as well as international junior competitions of the highest level on 3 hard courts, since the complex fulfils ITF criteria. Successful business co-operation with Croatia’s tennis federation ensures that SC Višnjik tennis centre will be one of the most important and prominent national tennis centres moving forward.
